ImagineHub learning network of missional innovation centers will host a virtual first annual ImagineHub Summit the afternoon of Thursday, June 3. ImagineHub provides a learning network, training programs and support solutions for churches that desire to reimagine and deploy their space and resources as a means for improving economic empowerment in their community. The theme of the event will be "Let Your Ideas Shine" and we invite ImagineHub site teams, prospective site teams, partners, clergy, creatives and other faith-driven innovators and entrepreneurs to join us. The goals of this first Summit are to:
- Increase understanding of the importance of innovation and entrepreneurship to economic mobility and empowerment
- Increase understanding of how critical "ecosysteming" is to supporting emerging entrepreneurs, especially from under-connected communities (women, people of color, immigrants, rural communities)
- Increase understanding of the barriers, challenges and opportunities - particularly for these under-connected communities - and motivate attendees to become part of the solution
- Recognize innovative ideas emerging from ImagineHub sites
- Recognize leaders bridging boundaries in their communities
The Summit begins at 1:30 pm ET with national best-selling author Jordan Raynor’s keynote – God as the First Entrepreneur. We’ll learn a story of community engagement through an ImagineHub site and hear about the Cultural Entrepreneur Movement. Participants will have the opportunity to network by region and vote on the winners of the Let Your Ideas Shine pitch competition. Our closing keynote on “Ecosystem Building for Economic Equity” will be delivered by NC IDEA leaders Thom Ruhe and Spencer Disher. All speakers will come together for a panel conversation and audience Q&A, then host breakout sessions for going into deeper discussion until 5:00 pm ET.
